Brandi & Mike,
I've enclosed some pictures of Gregory. The long haired Dachshund in one of them is
Gracie. They have so much fun together. Even though Gracie is bigger and heavier, Gregory
is "in charge". They are so sweet together. Gracie cleans his face, ears and
eyes several times a day. He closes his eyes and loves the attention. I plan on getting
him into obedience classes after the first of the year. He is still tiny at about 4-1/2
lbs. He is very fast, agile and runs circles around Gracie. She tries to catch up with
him, but he darts and changes directions so fast he leaves her in the dust. She has now
figured out how to occasionally outwit him by nabbing him coming around a couch or chair.
They have a lot of fun together and he is not happy if she is out of his sight. I'm so
glad we added him to our family.
Hope you have a Merry Christmas!

Brandi,
Thanks for the email Christmas card. Here's an update on Chris. Heather aged out of
juniors in October so she hasn't been showing him at all. She's been very busy with school
(she's a senior this year) and work so she hasn't had much time to train him. So, we
decided I would take over his training and everyone's happy with that. It was time for me
to start training a new dog anyway. It will be a while before I'm ready to step into the
ring with him but I think he's going to be great fun. He has a wonderful attitude and
loves going to class.
I'm attaching a photo of Chris on our back porch this morning. I'm sure you heard we had a
little storm yesterday. I had to clear off the porch so the dogs could get out. The Labs
made trails through the yard and Chris can navigate through those.
Merry Christmas!

Hi Brandi,
Well, my dogs gave me an early Christmas present at the CPE trial I was at this weekend!
Across 4 dogs I had 35 runs combined between Sat (17) and Sun (18). Of the 35 runs - I
actually ran my dogs - 31 times. Out of those 31 runs - we brought home 27 Q's and
finished 7 titles with all the dogs combined! That's quite a weekend!
Our boy Trek earned six 1st Place Q's out of 10 runs for the weekend and that is quite a
present in my book! By my counts - unofficially - I think Trek has earned 11 titles in
2006! 8 CPE agility titles - 2 NADAC Agility Titles and the TDI. Go, baby dog,
go!!!!!!!!!!

Hi again,
I just wanted to share with you that Trekker passed his Therapy Dog Evaluation today. He
has his CGC (Canine Good Citizen) from the AKC and the TDI (Therapy Dog International)
exam is basically the same with a few twists. I can't add the TDI to his name until I
submit the paperwork but I'm just thrilllllllllllllled to have my first 'officially
approved' therapy dog. Here is a link to the TDI site if you would like to read more about
the testing:
http://www.tdi-dog.org/tditesting.html
I've been quiet about it because we went in on a whim (I was invited/encouraged to come on
Wed night and decided to go on Friday morning), with just two days of practicing in
preparation - I really wasn't sure how we would do! Trek was my star. The evaluator
comments included on his eval were: "Gentle and happy dog." That's my boy!
Brandi, thank you for making it possible - I've just reached a new accomplishment! It's
very fun to tread new waters and add a first time feather to my cap! Many thanks for
placing your trust in me with one of your pups! I so love my little guy - he's just a
prince on so many levels! Best regards everyone!

Hi Brandi and Mike....
Happy Holidays! I enclosed some of Casey's holiday pictures. I have to tell you that he is
the most patient dog. I took over 100 pictures of him that night, and he just sat there
and posed the entire time. I think he missed his calling, he should have been a dog model
(haha). I had no problem changing his holiday costumes, and he had no problem showing them
off. He really is a great dog, we have so much fun with him. He has grown this jealous
side that I think is the most adorable thing in the world. If my cats come over to me
while we are watching tv, Casey has to jump in front of both of them so I pet him..... if
my husband hugs me, Casey has to jump in the middle to get some attention. He is so
adorable and we just love to give him all the attention he demands (and he does demand
it). We will be traveling to Florida for the holidays and I have no doubt that he will be
a perfect angel on the plane again. I will send you some more pictures of our trip, it
should be fun for Casey. We are staying at my parents, they have a poodle and then my
brother is coming over with his 2 poodles, so I am sure Casey will get plenty of exercise
that week! Enjoy the holidays!

Hi Guys,
How Trek puts up with me I'll never know!!!!!!!! I have a statue that I dress up for the
Holidays - kinda like those lawn geese - anyway - pulling out the Xmas stuff for him - I
found the bonus of an xtra hat!!!!!!!!! Anyway, I just couldn't resist making Trek -
"Pappiclaws". I'm so grateful Trek has my playful sense of humor about
this!!!!!!!! He wouldn't care if I held him upside down from his hind legs as long as he
got treats for the effort!"

Hi,
I am Monika's husband and I just wanted to drop you a line to tell you what a lovely
little dog Jazz is. He definitely has the best disposition of any dog we've ever known, as
well as being the smartest, best looking, best behaved and FASTEST (except for our German
Short Haired Pointer). He's a VERY important part of the family.
I've attached our only digital photo of Jazz riding in the canoe at our cottage. That's me
and my son Jeremy with Jazz in the canoe. Jazz loves the water (almost as much as he loves
chasing a ball) and will keep his head submerged for minutes at a time while he claws
among the rocks for crawfish, etc.
We've seen many locally bred Papillons but none even come close to Jazz.
Thanks very much,
John

I just wanted to drop you a line and send you an updated face shot of Slider. He just got
groomed and did perfect for the entire thing!! That dog is so easy going!! We just adore
him! I can't wait to get him started with obedience. My mom took him through the beginner
stuff, and after the holidays we will start our "Obedience boot camp" I hope he
is as fast and fun a learner as Jolie! I will get some better shots of him later, just
wanted you to see how pretty he is turning out!

Hi Brandi,
Hope you and your family had a good Thanksgiving. Venus graduated from the Basic Obedience
Course 11 November. We start the Canine Good Citizen Course (CGC) this weekend. It's
offered as a six week course that will prepare her to take the AKC CGC 10-part test on
week six at graduation. After that, we will take a Novice Obedience Course to reinforce
her basic skills and learn some Footwork & Off Lead Heeling. The instructors wanted me
to sign Venus up for the Agility Intro to Obstacles classes at the same time as the CGC.
But based on my past experience with other dogs, I think it will work best for us to get a
firm foundation in obedience first. Venus is doing great and loves being around the new
people and dogs she meets in class. She is definitely Miss Congeniality. I'll attach some
pix I took over the Thanksgiving holiday so you can see how nice her structure, fringe and
coat are. She is now 13 months, 7.4 lbs. & 10 in.

Dear Brandi,
You were right. Merry was definitely the puppy for us and has been a wonderful addition to
our family. We call her Izzy after a character on the TV show, Greys Anatomy, and we
cant imagine how we ever got along without her. From the start she has been an easy
going, happy girl. She prefers to be at the center of our activities but can also occupy
herself when necessary. She travels well and eagerly meets other people and their pets.
(She has been such a hit with the neighbor kids that one family it getting a Papillon for
Christmas!) Izzy has quickly caught on to commands and simple tricks. I taught her to ring
an office bell which sits on the floor by our kitchen door to signal when she wants to go
outside. Granted, she is as likely to ring it for the fun of playing outdoors as for
bathroom duties, but all the same, she gets it that the bell is a ticket
outside. Shes also learned: come, sit, stay, down, roll over, fetch and shake hands.
She loves long walks as well. Currently, she is slightly over 10 inches tall and weighs
right at 7 pounds. Her adult coat and fringing have really begun to grow and she is
becoming more beautiful by the day. Most importantly to us, she has a darling personality.
Izzy is all we could have hoped for in our Papillon. Thanks so much for entrusting us with
this sweet bundle of energy and love!
With best regards,
Denise

Happy Thanksgiving Brandi,
Hope you all have a wonderful happy blessed family day. I am headed out to work this
morning but just wanted to see if you had got the pictures. I sent them last night before
bed. Hopefully there is a picture there you could use on the website. We will love that.
Of course Winston was a traveling champ on our vacation. He just charms everyone
everywhere we go. He is so interested in everything, and views at the world around him
with that inquisitive look in his face. It is a kick just to watch him. You can't help but
think he is having fun right a long with you. He behaved so well on this trip we kept
having to remind ourselves all the way home that he is only a puppy at 10 months old now.
He is getting to be such a mature little man. :-)

Greetings from the Texas Ranger,
I've heard that Texas Rangers always get their man, but in our case, he's having a hard
time apprehending the chipmunk living under our air conditioner unit. He and his deputy,
TJ the terrier, have set up a stake out, and demanded he come out with his paws up. But
the chipmunk just squeaks back "you'll never take me alive, ranger!" For now,
it's a stand off. We've had a lot of fun now that it's cooled off. We all took a trip to
the Smoky Mountains. Ranger loves to travel. We've also been busy planting things in the
yard so next spring we'll have lots of flowers. Ranger likes to dig for moles. He's better
at it than our terrier! He still weighs just under 6 pounds, so I guess he's finished
growing. He's so beautiful. His coat shines, and he has the prettiest head and ears. Hope
all your pack is doing well.
Love and kisses from Elaine and Ranger

Brandi,
Remy had a great class in beginner agility today. I had comments about how impressed
people were with him! We are doing some training at home, but he has only been to a
handful of classes over several months due to circumstances, and is excelling anyway,
especially (my humble- -hehe- - opinion) next to other dogs who started when he did. He is
doing really well, and enjoying it. He knows jumps (bars on the ground) and follows me
VERY well in different exercises, tunnel, table, low dog walk and is working on chute,
weave channel and low A-frame. He has done the teeter at home because he saw the Chi get
rewarded for it and decided to run on up invited or not thank you very much- - AY! I had
to teach him to do it correctly way before I was planning to!

Dear Brandi & Mike,
I purchased one of your puppies last December. Max turned one year old a few weeks ago and
I just want you to know that he is doing fine and that I am very happy with him. Max is
very sociable and enjoys playing with just about every dog he meets. I am interested in
getting another Papillon puppy as a companion for both Max and me. If you will be having
any puppies coming up for sale in the next six months or so please let me know.

Hi Brandi!
Austin celebrated his 1st birthday a few weeks ago. He's maturing to be such a handsome
boy. He's a ball of fire and keeps me BUSY! He's always into something but sticks to me
and Chloe's side like velcro. Agility class is going extremely well and he's at the top of
his class. He's the youngest there, but one of the fastest and smartest. Everyone can tell
he loves it. When we're in the ring waiting our turn for an obstacle, he self stacks
himself and looks up at me as if to say "I'm ready to show now!" It's amazing
how he has showing in his genes. He would love it out there if he had the chance. He knows
he's handsome and loves to show off in class. He's been going to work with me every day
(at Dog Daycare) and LOVES it. He gets everyone ready to play and just loves dogs. He's a
bit reserved around new people, but has been coming out of his shell around them and loves
giving kisses. I included a new picture of him looking beautiful as usual! Oh, and I was
wondering if you had any recent pictures of Candy or Jojo. I always love admiring them. :)

Happy Halloween Brandi, Mike and all your wonderful paps. Hope ya'll are having a cool
autumn. It is cooling off nicely here. We went to the PetFest and Expo at the Triple Crown
Dog Academy yesterday. They had lectures along with flyball, agility, dog disc, &
police dog demonstrations. Venus did great on her first big outing with about 2000 people
and dogs. She was the only papillon I saw, and everyone was asking me about her & the
breed. She was very calm, relaxed, alert, & intensly interested in all that was going
on. She was well mannered & cautiously friendly to all the dogs who were sniffing her
& strangers petting her. We're half way through the basic obedience course, & have
signed up for the next Canine Good Citizen class. Venus has all the basic commands
mastered except for the SIT. She just doesn't like to put her booty down on the floor.

Remy is doing really well, we love him more and more everyday. He has started agility
classes and is enjoying it! Tomorrow I am bringing the two boys (Remy and his Chihuahua
brother) to a private lesson so we can work out a training plan- - post Katrina life (and
regular old weather!) has made it difficult to have class every week so I have scheduled a

Dear Brandi,
Too much has been taking place. Let's just say that Chrissie is still the Star at the Farm
house. She loves to play with the children in the court. Every time that they are out and
she comes out the front door, you would think that the Paparazzi were everywhere. They are
all very gentle with her. Her latest is her "Time Out" spot. While I was on
travel to Philadelphia, she was into mischief. My husband told her she should go to the
rug by the front door and sit and consider it "Time Out!" Well, she did do it
and she stayed until he gave the "Release" command. He said when she was into
mischief the next time he gave the command "TIme Out!" and she went directly to
the rug. She stayed until he said "Release." When I returned home, I tried the
command. Sure enough she went to the rug to wait for "Release." She continues to
be an absolute joy. The pictures are from my last report. The first is with our grandson
Chad (9.16.06). His sisters placed Chrissie in the shopping cart and she thoroughly
enjoyed being pushed around. She never even attempted to jump out! The other just shows
how beautiful she is (7.31.06).
I hope this finds you well.
Kindest Regards,
Kathy

Brandi,
I wanted to say how glad we are you placed Winston with us. We just love him. If I had
known then...what I know now about my little boy pap, I would have been literally begging
at your door step for you to give him to me. And of course after that you probably would
have had to call the cops out on us. Jim can get down right emotional about Winston and he
tells me often to make sure and write you at your website and tell you how wonderful he
is, that you did a good job raising him, and taking care of him so carefully when he was
so tiny, and that he (Jim) has never had a dog like this. He is ready to send a steady
supply of testimonials to your website over the years, which we will be doing of course.
Just wanted you to know. Hugs,

Brandi,
I went to that dog show in late August and did not take Jazzy the first day. But I saw a
lot of people with just pets there, so I figured out when the Papillons were showing the
next day and took my chair and Jazzy straight up to that ring and just sat down with her.
Jazzys coat was among the top 10% to be sure! A lot of the dogs white hair
looked dingy really. I have found a shampoo I like from PetMed that is the oatmeal,
non-detergent type and her rump hair continues to grow till it drags the ground and picks
up foliage. Ive had to trim her back there a couple times now as she just picks up
too much stuff sweeping the ground. Anyhow, I finally got some better pictures by trying
outside so her expression was something besides a stare! Here are a few of the nicest ones
and some funny ones! Just to keep her challenged, Ive continued to try and think if
new things to teach her
. I finally got her to learn how to do a figure 8 backwards
through my legs! Its like shes operating a motorboat backwards trying to
propel herself around its really cute! (She weighed 5.3 at the vet, though
everyones scales are different, I think she has filled out a little with her solo
dog life, shes still very trim of course.) Got to run! I hope you are doing well!!
Take care,

Hi Brandi,
How's this for a close-up? I was trying to take a photo of Venus for her 11 month
birthday. She leaped up on my lap and put her nose right on the telephoto lens trying to
see what was inside the camera. I'm also sending a few other photos which show how nice
the feathering and ear fringe is coming in. I'll try to get a better one showing the black
marking on her back. She is doing wonderful. We start classes next week. Her favorite
thing to do now is to bring me the ball by pushing it with her nose or pushing it with her
front feet like a soccer player.

Hi Brandi,
Trek was a SUPERSTAR yet again this weekend!!! He finished two more titles this weekend in
CPE agility. He out qualified my Border Collies - yet AGAIN!!! Even Dera!!!! He ran 8 runs
and brought home 8 Qualifiers and 8 first placers!!! Plus - he's finished his requirements
for Level 3 Jumpers (All jumps and Tunnels) - so he moves on to Level 4!!!! - he's not
even 2 years old - he's an agility prodigy I swear!!!!! (There are only 5 levels of
difficulty in CPE - 1 through 5 (Dera is a level 5 dog).) He was a full 45 seconds under
standard course time on one of the runs. It's amazing to me that at 23 mos our little guy
has earned a total of 11 titles in all so far. What a pup! That's nearly a title a month
in the last year! Just very cool.

Hi Brandi & Mike,
Sorry I haven't given you an update on Casey in a while. He is doing great. We recently
took him to North Carolina and we were delayed in the airport for 5 hours. We were in one
of the most hectic airports (JFK in NY) and he didn't make 1 noise the entire time we were
there. He was like a little angel the entire time. I attached some pictures from our trip.
He is still getting a little car sick but it's starting to happen less and less. His coat
is growing in so nicely and every time we take him out he gets tons of complements. I
really think he is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met. Of course he still has some
of his puppy habits, he loves to eat the cat food (even though he knows he's not supposed
to...I think it has become more of a game than anything) and anything he can get his mouth
on he will chew. We found this toy at Petco that said it was made from indestructible fire
hose, Casey tore the edge off within 1 hour. He definatly loves to chew. Him and Foxy (our
youngest cat) are still the best of friends, Casey never gets sick of chasing her and she
never gets sick of whacking him when he least expects it (don't worry she's declawed).
Well hope you enjoy the pictures. Talk to you soon

Hi Brandi,
Sorry Ive been so quiet lately too busy playing with our little Sophie
(Iris). She has been so much fun. She is starting to grow up and is getting in her adult
coat. I will miss her naked look since this will mean she is no longer a puppy. Our older
dogs have finally learned how to play with her, although they arent nearly as
energetic as Im sure she would like. Sophie plays fetch with gusto, a particular
delight for me because I like this game much more than our older dogs do. As you know,
Sophie is an absolute bullet when she runs and is hysterical when she tucks her tail under
her and races through the house or yard. We could not be happier with this little bundle
of joy.
We attempted to take some recent photos of Sophie and set up a blue blanket outside for
contrast. Unfortunately it was rather warm outside and the blue was a little overpowering,
but you can see how her colors are developing. I dont think she has lost much of the
black on her face from when we got her so perhaps she will retain a good bit of it. She is
only 7˝ months old now so she may have a bit more changing ahead. We will try some more
photos soon that will hopefully come out better.
Warmest Regards,
Theresa

just as you promised! She never fails in getting compliments and attention in public, and
she is smart as a whip and well-behaved. She also has a "boyfriend," Kizmet, who
lives just up the street. As always, we thank you for her.

Hi Brandi,
I keep hearing about how hot it is in Dallas. We may be 5 hrs south of you, but it seems
to always be a few degrees cooler here. Go figure. I am sending some pix I just took of
Venus now that she is 10 months. She doesn't seem to mind the heat and is always eager to
go in the backyard to run a few laps. She's doing great and gets prettier every day. It's
so hot though that I do have a hard time getting a good picture without her tongue hanging
way out. Last Sunday, we did the only thing we could to cool off. Spent the whole
afternoon in the pool. Venus isn't particularly fond of the water, but I did coax her onto
a "surf board" and pushed her around the pool. Shawn helped me, but I think that
he thought I was a bit looney, pushing her around calling her "Surfer Girl" and
saying "wheeeeeee".

Brandi,
Mandy is sooo active I think it might be nice to have another Pap for her. She is miss
personality plus and quite the princess when she wants to be. I still spend the better
part of the day laughing at her antics and since her daddy came home from Iraq she has had
him totally wrapped around her little paw. She has her turned into a beautiful Pap with
gorgeous ears and a little face to die for. Ill enclose some pictures, not recent,
but it will give you an idea of what she has grown into.

Hi,
Here are a couple of pictures of Ranger doing one of his favorite things, laying in the
sun. I seems that most of my pictures of him are in this spot. But I've noticed the rest
of the time he's running and playing, so the shot usually end up being a picture of his
butt. Ranger is just a joy to have. He's got a great personality, playful and sweet as can
be. He just recently learned to jump up on the couch. Once he figured it out, he would
randomly jump up and and give me this very proud look, then jump down. We've started
working on learning other tricks as well. I'll send more picture once we get settled in
Vegas, which is happening in just a couple of weeks.

Hi Brandi,
Austin's doing very well. I can't wait to get him started in agility. I've included some
pics of him I just took a few minutes ago for you. He looks worn out! He had a busy
day...walking the trails of the park (and having fun barking at the ducks), going to the
pet shop, and meeting a few new friends today. His energy is great and he never stops
playing with Chloe and I. He's even adjusted to my summer schedule and sleeps in late with
me! LOL

Hi Brandi,
Venus is 9 months old today. It is hard to believe how fast they grow up. She is a very
spirited teenager. She loves everybody and everything. As I was posting pix I realized
that I had not sent you her 8 month birthday pix. We had just gotten back from Maui but
were home for her birthday. I'll attach them, and take some for her 9 month pix this
weekend. I want to take Venus to some obedience classes when we get back with the goal of
maybe doing Rally O' with her. I had taken 3 basic agility courses a few years ago with my
first pap but injured my knee so have not continued. I think Rally might be easier on the
old knees. Congratulations to Rigby. I enjoy the photos and updates on his progress.

Brandi,
Trek made me so proud yesterday. He spent a good hour playing with my cousin's 4 year old
niece yesterday. Oh she just loved him. He brought her toys and let her touch him and
scratch him and she's not a 'calm' little girl. Very giggly, very excitable, very bouncy.
Would have made my Border Collie nutz. But not Trek. He took it in stride and would just
back up and wait for her to stand still until he would bring her a toy again.
To see her and my Trek interacting was one of those moments that just makes ya go
"AWWWWWWWWWWW". For me it was fascinating to see my baby dog act so mature. He
was actually taking the lead in 'teaching' little Nicole how to play the fetch game.
It was just delightful to watch my youngster dog training this little girl like she was
just a young puppy. Wore em both out!

Brandi,
Austin is fitting in PERFECTLY with us. Him and Chloe are just inseparable. He copies her
every move and they play nonstop. She's loved him from the second he came home with us.
He's learning very fast and already knows sit, down, leave it, come, and is working on
spin. I'm hoping to get him in the junior conformation ring in the fall. He's such a
gorgeous boy...exactly what I was looking for! He's beginning to look more and more like
Jojo every day. He attends Agility classes every week with Chloe and watches every thing
the dogs do. He looks so eager to get out in the ring! I can't wait to get him out there.
At home, he jumps over some 2 inch jumps like a pro, and will sit/down on the table, and
I've started him on open weave poles. He's very fast and I think he'll give Chloe some
competition once he gets ready to compete! His coat and fringe are coming in very nicely.
I swear his tail gets poofier by the day. I can't get over how much he's starting to look
like his father, although I can't see much of Candy in him! He's enjoyed playing with
Colleen's Paps every few weeks and is pretty social. He's a little reserved with new
people but loves dogs and will try to play with everyone. He comes to my work with me at a
Dog Daycare and socializes with the little dogs there. Anyway, I'll keep you updated more
often! I've attached some pictures of him at 8 months. He's nearing 9 months now.

Hi Brandi,
Here's my Wyatt at 14 months. He is doing great, very happy, loves Winnie (my Boston),
grooms the cats, and has no people anxiety at all - rushes to them. He is very cuddly,
sleeps under the covers (paws at me to lift them), comes to get me when he loses a toy
under the couch, and is an all around pleasure to be with. He has a new neighbor Poodle
that he loves and has "play date" Corgis. Hope the color shows well.

OH MY GOD!!!!! WHAT A DAY!!!!
I, at a whim, gate entered a NADAC trial today. Trek only needed two qualifiers for his
first NADAC title in a game this venue has called Tunnelers - they call it a 'special
skills' class. It's a course comprised of all tunnels so the times are rocket ship fast as
you can imagine. OH MY GOD - he blew EVEN ME away today - and I know how awesome he is!!!
Remember me telling you NADAC is the venue on speed and people all complain that it's only
for fast border collies? OH MY GOD - they never met Trek!!! Oh, Brandi, he was just
perfection in motion today! He ran like a dog that's been at this for several years - not
a little 21 month old puppy that just started agility foundation basics at what, like
between 7-8 months old?????
Tunnelers Round 1- Standard course time 37.14 - Yardage - 130.00 - Trek's Time 22.50 -
Placement 1st -
Easily 15 seconds under course time for the baby dog - Plus here's a cool comparison worth
mentioning - My 5 year old elite border collie, Dera, on a BEAUTIFUL run at a trail in
early June on an exact same 130 yard Tunnelers course placed a time of 22.58 - look again
at Trek's time yesterday!!! That's showing up the BC's!!!! Go pappi go and at only 21
months old!!! Plus, plus, plus - I looked at all the other dogs that ran and q'd in ALL
heights and he even beat EVERY SINGLE LARGE DOG - the only dog that even came close was a
16" dog that ran in 25 something!!!! Trek showed em all up!
Tunnelers Round 2- Standard course time 44.86 - Yardage - 157.00 - Trek's Time 27.65 -
Placement 1st - Again - a solid 17 seconds UNDER course time on a much, much longer
course than the first with another beautiful run that Trek made look like he's been doing
this for years and isn't a novice dog that hasn't even reached 2 years old yet.
What a boy!!! What a dog!!!! Just....wow!!!! Talk about surpassing expectations! All I
ever hoped for was a pup that enjoyed the game and I've been blessed with a booster rocket
on four untrimmed fuzzy feet!

Brandi,
Jazzy is doing great and is very smart. She knows on command: SIT, SHAKE, WAVE, DOWN,
CRAWL, ROLL OVER, SAY PLEASE (a balanced SIT with her front paws off the
ground and a treat waiting above her until I let her have it), STAY, COME, STOP (for
walking), STAND, UP (standing on back feet only and she walks back or forward depending of
course on where I take the treat), just taught her BACK (she walks backwards, may use it
to teach her to weave between my legs one day if she gets the forward version of
it), and SPIN. But my favorite is still TAKE A BOW as it took a lot of effort to get her
to keep her rump up and bring her front down on command and she looks so cute closing out
her tricks with that when others ask to see her do them all. She used to be willing to do
the tricks for her dog food but someone told her that it was her regular dog food so now I
give her some baked dog food samples that she loves. So we both win J.

Hi Brandi,
I thought Id drop you a note to let you know how Iris is doing. Well she is doing
just great! She has just the perfect personality and we have been enjoying her immensely.
Two of our 3 older dogs are showing interest in playing with her, but I think they
dont quite know how yet. Sophie is a champ at playing fetch (!!!) and many times one
of the older dogs cant stand it and will race after the toy too, but they either
stop short of getting the toy or they let go of the toy as soon as Sophie makes a grab for
it. I dont think it will be too much longer before they are really playing together.
Sophie has really liked having older dogs to follow around. You can almost read her
expression that she is happy to be one of the big dogs, doing what they do. I
havent been able to capture a really good shot of her standing and facing the camera
yet, but will keep trying.

Brandi,
Thank you for sending me those pictures and video. Your dogs are so beautiful. I need to
get some action video of Jolie, she is so awesome!! We have not been practicing as much
recently due to the extra hot weather of AZ but once it cools off we will start full steam
again. My moms little guy "Laddie" is doing very well also. Me and Jolie go and
visit every Thursday and the two of them play hard all day. She has taken him to 2 of my
training classes, boy is he smart!! He starts trick class tomarow!! He already knows shake
and to ring a bell on command!! my 9 year old niece has really taken to him as well, and
has been practicing agility with him. He surprised us with how quickly he picked
everything up (quicker than Jolie when she first started) I am sending you some pictures,
one of which is Laddie on the Table doing a nice sit/stay. His coat is really coming in
nice, its even longer now than in these pics that were taken about a month ago.
Enjoy the pics, thanks!!

Hi Brandi,
It took me some time to get photos. This will show you the fluff that is coming in her
ears and coat. She is quite a treasure. I have fallen head over heels in love with her.
Our vet tech said she was now a papillon lover. Chrissie had so impressed her with how
sweet and smart she was. Last night, we attended our second dog training course. We did
have very large dogs there, but the trainer said only let your dog interact with another
after asking permission. There were also dogs Chrissie's size and age. We had the toy
corner and the huge dog corner. So we are very encouraged. It is all about our being
consistent. Anyway, enjoy her latest pics at almost six months. It is hard to believe. She
weighs 3lbs. 14 oz.
Best,

Hi Brandi,
Hope all is going well with you there in Texas? I wanted to send you these pictures we
took of Winston last week during his obedience class. He got a little disgruntled about
having to "stay." But he did do it, and with flying colors. Winston is doing so
well in so many ways. Last week at the vet he was one ounce short of weighing four pounds.
He is eating good, and growing. Next Monday he is scheduled to be neutered. Poor little
guy, he hasn't got a clue! :-) We are so happy to have such a charming puppy in our home.
Jim and I say to each other all the time, how glad we are that we got him.
Talk to you later,

Brandi,
What a joy Sunset has been in our home!! She is lively, confident, excited about new
discoveries and has adapted to our routine very quickly. She loves to ride in the car and
goes with us whenever possible. She is using both the grass and litter box to do her
"boxy" most of the time which I am very pleased about. She is charming Darcy
(our other Pap) more and more each day. He is very patient with her a majority of the
time. The only behavior that he gets a little "out of sorts" on is when she has
a whim of energy and begins to run throughout the house -- he thinks he needs to tell her
to slow down. I just love on him and we watch her as she zooms. She bounds up and down the
stairs with no problem. Darcy has taught her to be attentive to what sounds to bark at and
what ones not to (excellent little watch dog). She discovered a plastic Easter egg on the
ground four days ago and now has an exercise routine of bating it around the kitchen floor
and zooming after it. Darcy has even joined the play.
She is bonding well to Alexa and is very comfortable sleeping in her bedroom at night. She
seems to believe that about 9:00 is bedtime which is perfect to help Alexa to go bed on
time!
Thanks again for trusting us with Sunset. Her spunk and charm fits in great with our home
and we get wide grins on our faces as we watch her stack herself and prance confidently
around with her head held high.
We hope all is well with you guys.
We'll keep in touch.

We thought you might like to see a picture of Sparky at 20 months old. He is really a

Hi Brandi,
Okay, the little guy has the camera figured out. I kid you not!!! I picked up his blue
ribbons and the camera and headed to the front porch and darn it if he didn't go racing
past me to jump in the chair and get into the pose in this pic and bark until I took that
picture!!! Geez, all I ever did was take those few shots before and praticed with a
clicker to get him to sit still and now he demands I shoot so he gets his toy! He just
scares me some days!!! But you just can't hide the fact that he's one happy little guy
that's for darn sure!

I want you to know this is the best Papillon in the world! Of course, he thinks so too.
One more month and Ranger will be one year old. He weighs about 5 lbs and his fur is so

squirrels back up the trees.

Hi Brandi,
Just a couple of pics of Remy with his new "brother," Dominic the big Chi. They
were bonding with my husband, which allowed me to get a few shots! Remy is just adorable.
I have begun clicker training with him and he loves it and is so fun to work with. You
obviously did quite a bit with him, as he already knows "come" very reliably and
also will drop anything he has in his mouth if I ask for it (not to mention the great
leash walking, of course). What a dream, we can start with the fun stuff!!! He really is
just what I had dreamed of! Thanks so much.

Hi there! I got some pictures back lately and as it is so hard to get good ones of Jazzy,
thought I'd send a couple your way. She is sunning at the end of my bed. I stopped with 10

Rémy is continuing to settle in nicely. Thank you so much, he is really a fabulous little
guy. His stitches came out yesterday. He was laying comfortably on his back in my arms and
could not have cared less that the vet was poking at him. It was certainly the least
stressful first exam experience I have ever had!
He is still howling and yipping quite a bit if I leave the room or crate him, but that
seems to be lessening already as well. Attached is a pic of Rémy learning what a great
place his soft crate is. It stays open in the living room and he has already been taking
his toys in there on his own to sit and play with them. Later on when he is older the soft
crate will be his very own room no matter where we are, so I want him to LOVE it and feel
safe and secure there without forcing it on him. For the moment when I need to contain him
he is using a sturdy big dog crate.
Rémy and Dominic the Chi are beginning to get along quite well. They played chase for a
little while this morning. The two of them follow me everywhere, it is fun.
Anyway, Rémy is great, and really seems to be exactly what I was hoping for! Settles
right down when I am working, and ready to go the minute I get up. He is smart, gorgeous
and so sweet!! Didn't know all of that came in one little package! You were wonderful
throughout the whole process of bringing Rémy to our family. Thank you, best of luck and
have a great time at your specialty!

Hello Brandi and Mike,
Hope you are both well. Venus is doing fabulous. She is 6 months & maturing very
nicely and has the most friendly and outgoing temperament. She gets along well with
everyone. Her adult coat is coming in and is already looking amazing as well as the fringe
on her huge ears. She was spayed a few days ago and had no problems at all. Everything
went very well at the Vet and even called several times to check up on her. They just love
her and those ears.

Hello,
Just thought I would write you a quick note and let you know how Casey (aka Marco) is
doing. He was neutered 2 weeks ago and he healed just fine (he hated the cone around his
head, but he was still a good boy). We started a training class with him 3 weeks ago, and
I must say he is the smartest and most well behaved dog in the class. He is getting along
very well with the cats. He plays with Foxy every chance he gets. They love to chase each
other across the house. Housebreaking is going pretty well, a few accidents here and there
but for the most part he knows to go outside.

Hi Brandi,
Austin is doing terrific. He is ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE and is fitting in and adjusting very
well. He is quite a little man (smile). He has been to the park several times (has quickly
learned to walk on a leash) and potty training is going "fairly well"
considering he has been with us less than a week. He is eager to learn which is a good
sign. (Lauren has him sitting and lying down on command already)..... She is absolutely
amazing with dogs and people are in awe at what she has taught Chloe to do. Austin played
with Scout last evening and another of Colleen's paps so we had four of them running
around our house. FYI.... Austin is scheduled to be neutered on May 3rd. We will send more
photos of him soon..... just wanted you to know that we love him and we can tell he loves
us too !!! (smile)

Hi,
We have settled in nicely. True meaning of that statement is Kohdee has taken over the
household. The past two nights he gets in his pen and there is no crying until he hears us
in the morning. He is eating well and loves his toys, one of which is Midjet. They play
and chase each other all over the place. Kohdee, of course is much quicker than Midjet,
but they are getting along great! Kohdee is pretty much completely housebroken to the pee
pads and has had no mistakes in two days. He is so smart!! Until he hears the word No. He
seems to not understand that word. Sound like a Pap to me.
Thanks for that wonderful baby.

Hi Brandi,
Hope you had a nice weekend! .. Well, Friday was the big day! Charlie was neutered! Poor
guy, he is not having fun, but hes doing better. His little cone head the vet gave
him didnt really work as a deterrent from the stitches so we bought him some potty
training overalls that cover everything up so he cant get to it. It makes him hop
around kind of funny
but it works!

Hi Brandi & Mike,
We finally had the nerve to get Louie fixed. He made it through the procedure just fine.
Overall I think he has adjusted to us just fine. He gets along with all the cats, and
loves to go for a ride in the car. I think if he could he would like to drive himself. He
is very smart and observant. His coat is just beautiful, from the pictures of his Mom, I
think Louie looks just like her.

Brandi,
I keep teaching her new tricks as she learns so fast. I keep wondering if you just started
her out so well, in training, that helps in my teaching her now. She comes and jumps at me
now if she thinks it is time for us to play chase or something again. I always come home
and first walk her, play with her, and get her to eat and do her tricks (for her food,
smile) before my dinner or a rest on the couch. She does tend to hit the toys (shaking
them) after I get home, along with pulling on her hose she has run off with from my
roommate. She loves tug-of-war and is oh so fun.

Hello,
Well we just wanted to say Hi and send you some pictures of (Sparkle) Lola since she
turned 1 year old on the 25th! She is doing very well and her potty training has been a
breeze! She is a wonderful dog and we are glad that we decided on her! She is a very
watchful dog. Lola has to know where everyone is at ALL times! She sometimes sleeps with
one eye open!! Take care.

Hi,
The newest pix of our boy Wyatt. He is definitely a teen - pushing boundaries, being a bit
more willful, but he does listen (especially to Peggy, one of my cats), waits to eat, is
very good about "leave it," and very sweet to all humans and creatures. He is
amazed by the return of the geese - loves to look up and watch them. Also pretty excited
about the deer we saw in the yard yesterday morning. I take both dogs to the park - though
Winnie (my Boston Terrier) is blind, she walks ahead of me and is not fearful - Wyatt
loves her very much and they were quite the attraction at the park. I'll keep you posted -
enjoy.

Hi Brandi & Mike,
What innocence! I think not! We are having much fun with the little girls. Spudly starts
her obedience training on Thurs night. She has already learnt several commands, but need a
little exposure to other people and surrounding before taking her Therapy Dog test. You
have done such a great job with her.

Hi Brandi & Mike,
I'm attaching some photos of Venus we took today for her 5 month birthday. She is doing
wonderful and is an absolute joy. She is now 5.2 lbs. Her coat is just starting to grow
back. She loves to play with our Himalayan cat and other little pap. They will chase each
other and play for hours. She is a very sweet, loving, self confident little girl. She's
always giving kisses and wanting to sit in someone's lap. She gets a lot of compliments on
her nice markings and big ears. We all love her very much. How is her brother doing? Will
you start showing him soon? Enjoy the photos.

Hello,
Just wanted to check in and let you know how things are going with Casey. He and the cats
are getting along pretty good. He learned not to chase them and they are starting to warm
up to him. He is very good with the potty training, hasn't made a single mistake yet. He
had his first play date last night with our friends 2 dogs and got along with them both
very well. We are absolutely in love with him and plan to spoil him rotten! I can't
believe what a great temperment he has, all he wants to do is cuddle.

Brandi,
I'm attaching the photo from the January Rally trials where Heather and Chris managed to
earn his Rally Novice title in three days. A perfect score in Rally is 100. They earned
scores of 97, 97 and 87. This is the second dog Heather has handled to his RN title but
the first one she did all the training on herself. He loves it!

Hi Brandi,
I just wanted you to know that my boy made the trip really good. He just followed me
everywhere in the apartment. When you hold him, he just leans his head back and looks at
you like he's so happy, and waits for you to say something and then he just wags his
little "happy meter" tail! I hated to leave this morning... and he cried when I
left... My sweet boy is absolutely a treasure!! I just love him to pieces!!! He saw his
reflection in the mirror yesterday and was barking at himself! It was hilarious!!!
I have been meaning to tell you that we brought Fabio to the Vet. Our vet just fell in
love with him too. He said that our boy is very, very healthy! He also said, "I've
got two other clients that have Papillons, but I tell you, this boy sure looks like he
belongs in a show ring!" He added, "He is healthy, gorgeous, has beautiful bone
structure and markings!"
Thought you'd get a smile from this photo of Fabio! This was taken today. It's Mardi Gras
in New Orleans. Many people asked to take his photo!

Hi Brandi,
He is such a beautiful dog! His big hairy ears and big brown eyes. He loves to ride in our
truck and jumps up to lay in my lap every time I sit down. The folks at the Harley dealer
here are disappointed when I show up without Frankie. Which could be a blow to my ego, but
I understand. Everywhere we go, people stop us to meet the dogs.

Hi Brandi,
I wanted to send a quick update on Robby. He is doing beautifully. He's learning quickly
and we're now working on finding heel position. He doesn't like to be so close to my big
feet. ;-) He has visited my daughter's 2nd grade class where he received a treat from
every child and was sent home with a piece of paper with instructions to let him tear it
up (a favorite activity) and send it back. He obliged. He's playing around with the jumps
and the tunnel. He's learned sit and down and bow, but we haven't started stays yet - he
still gets concerned about people going by, so we are building confidence in that before
doing stays.
In March he will be doing a nursing home visit. He wins hearts everywhere I take him. We
call him our "therapy puppy". If anybody is feeling stressed or starting to get
angry, somebody will plop Robby in their lap and, instantly, moods improve. How can you be
upset with that sweet little face looking up at you? He's staying active and entertaining.
He's an absolute delightful boy.

Hi Brandi,
Frankie is a very snuggly dog and we are becoming very attached. He's starting to feel
more confident and comfortable and as he does, his personality is coming out. He's been
very good about letting me know when he needs to go outside. He's a big hit with all of
Spikes old friends. Thanks. I'll stay in touch!

Hi,
Well, it's been 2 whole weeks since we brought Kassi (top right) home to meet our Jorji.
We can't get over what a mother hen Jorji has turned out to be. During the first week,
Kassi was allowed by Jorji to take whatever toy she wanted. Tug of war was ever so
delicate on Jorji's side of the pulling. Then came week 2 & things changed. Each toy
played with becomes an object to tug with great determination on both sides. Most waking
hours are spent wrestling, tugging, chasing, a blur of activity. So the pictures we are
sending are of quiet moments when naps are imminent. Catching them in action is an
impossible goal. We are having so much fun watching our 2 girls. A playmate is definitely
just what our Jorji needed. Jorji didn't spend any time moping after Craig went back to
school after last weekend! She was too busy playing with Kassi. Friday was interesting. I
babysat my 6 month old grandson. Apparently Kassi didn't realize humans came in such
different sizes. She barked, then she was determined to lick any part of Connor she could
reach. And of course his toys looked so much more tasty than hers. The puppy pen was used
to surround the baby as he played to keep the puppy out! By afternoon, it was learned she
could co-exist with the baby without being all over him. When Connor napped so did the
dogs. Thanks so much for our newest princess. Hope you enjoy the pictures.
Best wishes,
Mark and Joanne

Hi Brandi,
This is a photo of Vito ready to travel (January 2006). Whenever he sees us grabbing our

Hi Brandi & Mike,
Hi Brandi and Mike, Just thought I would write you and update you on "Rommie's"
progress. We named her "Jolie" which means "pretty" in French, because
she is just that!! This little girl is everything I dreamed a Papillon would be. You did
such an AWESOME job selecting her for me. She has so much energy and so much drive, that
allows her to keep up with me and work for eight hours at a time. She adores coming to
work with me (I am a dog trainer) and has learned quicker than I ever dreamed she could.
Everyone that meets her falls in love wtih her!! She excels at her obedience and I soon
plan on entering her in some matches. She started her agility training a couple months ago
and just finished her first class. She is AMAZING!!!!! takes jumps like they are nothing,
shoots through tunnels and scales up A-frames with ease. She is going to title very
quickly. The next picture I send you will be of her leaping through a jump, so you can see
how high she can jump!! I just cannot thank you enough for allowing me the opportunity to
have such a marvelous little girl!!!!!
